Openspaces in baseball

This past week I was in Shabbona, Ill., shooting baseball at Indian Creek High School. One thing I love about the baseball field at this high school is the amount of open space around it. Check out the vast openness beyond first base.

Great light for baseball

Four innings I watched the Sun sit suffocated behind a wall of clouds. And then finally, at the bottom of the fourth (around 6:30 PM), enough of the clouds slid by that the light could give me this to play with.

Fire destroys largest building

Possibly the largest building in Shabbona, Ill., burned to the ground today. Caught this mini-moment of teamwork between firefighters as they attempted to stop the blaze from spreading to the lumber yard next door.
