That time of year

Got grass stains on my pants. High school drum line’s beats have become my theme song. And my love/hate relationship with autofocus has peaked.

Home opener

Last Friday was DeKalb High School’s first home football game in a very long time. That’s because despite having a football team, they don’t have a stadium. For years they have been playing at Northern Illinois University’s football field.

Black Hawk helicopters visit NIU

While shooting a baseball game at Northern Illinois University, three thundering Black Hawk helicopters from the Illinois National Guard flew past and landed in a field near the basketball stadium.
