Troop 14: Flashlight Hike (2012)

The annual Troop 14 flashlight hike is always great for pictures. We start hiking by sunset and the distance is short enough to carry a real camera. The hike takes us through the Marin Headlands which has a smattering of World War 2 military bunkers built into the hillsides.

Youth Fitness for the San Francisco Chronicle

Give me a big banks of windows, and I am in heaven. I wish all indoor assignments could take place in old gymnasiums.
Yesterday I was at Francisco Middle School in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco for a story on how kids tested in the latest public school fitness tests.

Nurse Alicia Torres for San Francisco Chronicle

I recently photographed Summit Medical Center registered nurse of 27 years, Alicia Torres, of Oakland.
Torres was the original nurse for Judith Ming, the oncology patient who recently died, but had been locked out on the day of Ming’s death due to the strike.

Lights go out at Brian and Katie’ wedding, but the party doesn’t miss a beat.

My family and I attended a wedding of our good friends Brian and Katie, in Detroit. I was purely a guest at this wedding, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to take pictures.
The ceremony took place at the wonderful Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle.
