Today I photographed my first ever motorsport race and it was incredibly exciting.

I had been to Laguna Seca once before, so I knew of the famous corkscrew turn. It’s a chicane on a 45 degree hill. My assignment was to cover this turn.

Not surprisingly, both major crashes occurred on my turn. Thankfully both riders were able to walk away.

One guy even caught a ride back pit row after the race was over.
