On Tuesday, I found myself in a lot of the wrong places at the wrong time. And not in the way you might think.
Tuesday was the big general strike day lead by Occupy. But this strike was not like the last one in November. This day of protest had a lot of clashes with police and subsequent arrests. Unfortunately, I was bouncing around from San Francisco to Oakland’s Occupy right when the biggest events happened and thus feel like my images were lackluster.
However, I was close by when a flash bang went off in a crowd of protestors which appeared to temporarily impair this one demonstrator.
Most of the day was filled with standoffs between protestors and police, followed by a very long march through Oakland. I would guess several miles were tread by several hundred demonstrators.
