I shot this story a long time ago, but just haven’t gotton around to posting it till now.

Every summer Dee Palmer directs the concert in the park series. Every Tuesday he puts together a new show.

Dee has directed the show for about 50 years now and is a legend in the DeKalb area. Recently they even dedicated a statue to him in Hopkins park.

Before every show he sits in his car rehearsing the music to himself. I followed Dee before two seperate shows and each time I tried really hard to make this image the best it could.

He also checks in with the audio tech before each show about what announcements he needs to make. Dee often plugs other social agencies between sets.
