Busy weekend

Hinckley-Big Rock won two very close games to win their second class 1A state championship. My weekend began Friday morning with a road trip with two writers from the Daily Chronicle heading down to Bloomington, Ill., to cover three state tournament games: 2 basketball, 1 wrestling.

Girls basketball championships this weekend

For a second time in a row, the Hinckley-Big Rock girls basketball team is going to the state championships in Bloomington, Ill. Last year I followed the girls as they brought back their high school’s first ever state championship… in anything.

Cats

My roommate John and I went to the Chicago auto show last weekend (photos to come) and visited his friend in the city. While I sat around the friend’s living room I photographed their cat sitting directly across from me and very human-like.

All sunset photos are boring. Except this one.

Everyone takes pictures of sunsets (myself included). Every time I think,  wow that’s really pretty, I should take a picture for no other reason than the fact that I have been taught to take pictures of pretty sunsets.

Always say yes

Kristian and his family run an all-local cow farm. They raise the cows from birth themselves, and even keep them on their own land in Wisconsin during the Summer.
